History
The Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Krishna as King of Dwarka, is one of the four principal pilgrimage sites of Hinduism (Char Dham) and stands on the shore of the Gulf of Kutch. Its 56-step approach and five-storey spire, rebuilt in the 15th-16th centuries, are ringed by legends of the city Krishna ruled — believed by some to lie beneath the sea offshore.
