History
Built in 1570 for Mughal Emperor Humayun by his widow, this was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and set the template later perfected by the Taj Mahal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and far less crowded than Delhi’s other major monuments.
