History
Completed in 1986, the Lotus Temple is one of the most visited buildings in the world and the Bahá'í Faith's House of Worship for the Indian subcontinent. Its 27 free-standing marble petals form nine sides of a lotus, symbolising unity across religions. Nine prayer halls seat 2,500 people each; entry is free, quiet, and open to all faiths.
