Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: August 7, 2026

At Golden Triangle Journey, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. This Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which a tour booking may be cancelled, modified, or rescheduled, along with any applicable cancellation charges.

By confirming a booking with Golden Triangle Journey, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Cancellation Policy together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.

1. Tour Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed once the required advance payment has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued by Golden Triangle Journey.

Cancellation requests must be made by the person who made the original booking.

2. Customer Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible through email or WhatsApp.

Cancellation charges depend on how far in advance the cancellation request is received before the scheduled tour start date.

Cancellation NoticeCancellation ChargeMore than 30 days before arrival10% of the total tour price15–30 days before arrival25% of the total tour price7–14 days before arrival50% of the total tour priceLess than 7 days before arrival100% of the advance payment may be retained

Some third-party services such as hotels, transport providers, flights, train tickets, monument tickets, or special event bookings may have separate cancellation terms that may differ from the above.

3. Last-Minute Cancellations

Cancellations made within seven (7) days before the scheduled arrival date may result in higher cancellation charges because many services have already been reserved and paid to third-party suppliers.

4. No-Show Policy

If a traveller does not arrive at the agreed pickup location or fails to begin the tour without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a No Show.

In such cases:

  • The advance payment may not be refundable.

  • Unused hotel nights, transportation, guide services, and pre-booked activities may be forfeited.

  • Any remaining balance may still be payable where supplier charges have already been incurred.

5. Tour Modifications

Travellers may request modifications to their confirmed booking, including:

  • Change of travel dates

  • Change in itinerary

  • Hotel upgrades

  • Vehicle upgrades

  • Additional sightseeing

  • Traveller name corrections (where possible)

All modification requests are subject to availability and may involve additional costs.

6. Date Change & Rescheduling

We understand that travel plans sometimes change.

Where possible, we will gladly assist with rescheduling your tour to another available date.

Rescheduling requests:

  • are subject to hotel, vehicle, and guide availability,

  • should be made as early as possible,

  • may involve additional charges if supplier prices have changed.

7. Partial Cancellation

If one or more travellers cancel from a group booking while others continue travelling, the overall package price may be recalculated based on the revised group size.

Additional hotel supplements or transportation charges may apply.

8. Cancellation by Golden Triangle Journey

Although rare, we reserve the right to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Government restrictions

  • Political instability

  • Public health emergencies

  • Security concerns

  • Supplier insolvency

  • Operational emergencies

Where possible, we will offer:

  • An alternative travel date,

  • A comparable replacement tour, or

  • A refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.

9. Force Majeure

Golden Triangle Journey shall not be held liable for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Earthquakes

  • Floods

  • Severe weather

  • Pandemics

  • Civil unrest

  • War

  • Government travel restrictions

  • Airline disruptions

  • Border closures

In these circumstances, refunds will depend upon the cancellation policies of hotels, transport operators, airlines, and other third-party service providers.

10. Hotel & Transport Suppliers

Hotels, airlines, train operators, and transport providers maintain their own cancellation policies.

Where supplier cancellation charges apply, those charges will be passed on to the traveller where applicable.

Golden Triangle Journey will always make reasonable efforts to minimise cancellation costs whenever possible.

11. Special Events & Festival Tours

Bookings made during peak travel periods such as:

  • Diwali

  • Holi

  • Christmas

  • New Year

  • Pushkar Fair

  • Other major festivals

may be subject to stricter cancellation terms imposed by hotels and local suppliers.

These conditions will be communicated during the booking process whenever applicable.
