History

Formerly Victoria Terminus, the CST was designed by British architect Frederick Stevens and completed in 1887 after ten years of construction, blending Victorian Gothic revival with Indian architectural elements. With its domes, turrets, and stone carving, it is one of the most photographed railway stations in the world and still handles over a million passengers a day.
