History
Bibi Ka Maqbara was built in 1678 by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in memory of his wife Dilras Banu Begum, and is the only other monument in India on the scale of the Taj Mahal. Its white marble dome, minarets, and intricate stucco and pietra dura work earned it the name "poor man's Taj", though it stands in Aurangabad's own Mughal style.
