Goa is 100 kilometres of coastline split into a bustling north and a laid-back south. North Goa's Baga, Calangute, and Anjuna beaches party until dawn, while Palolem, Agonda, and the beaches of South Goa stay quiet and palm-fringed. Inland, the Portuguese-era churches of Old Goa, the spice farms of Ponda, and the heritage lanes of Panaji add a second, older character.
